India looking at exploration of outer space using planetary missions including a human space flight programme with Chandrayaan-2 mission

The success of Chandrayaan I moon mission, India is now looking at exploration of outer space using planetary missions including a human space flight programme. India's first Chandrayaan-1 mission intended to study the Moon using eleven scientific instruments built in India. With this, preparation of a 3-dimensional atlas of the lunar surface and chemical and mineralogical mapping of entire lunar surface has been undertaken by scientists from India and abroad.
